Golf for Greater Houston is proud to announce the 2018 event beneficiaries.  

Candelighters: For more than 25 years, Candlelighters has supported the needs of families facing childhood cancer. Our Parent Consultants are based at both Texas Children’s Cancer Center and at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Children’s Cancer Hospital.

​​Child Advocates of Ft. Bend County: The Mission of Child Advocates of Ft. Bend is to Provide a voice, Heal the hurt, and Break the cycle of abuse and neglect for children in Fort Bend County.

​Small Steps: Small Steps Nurturing Center operates two preschools for economically at-risk children living in the First, Second, and Fifth Wards of Houston, Texas. We provide a high-quality education, social and emotional support, a nurturing Christian environment, transportation, and nutritious meals to children ages two through six living in poverty. Small Steps operates five days a week, ten months each year, at no financial cost to the families we serve.

​​Ft. Bend Family Promise: The Mission of Fort Bend Family Promise is to meet the immediate needs of homeless families while empowering them to attain self-sufficiency. We envision an informed community where coordinated resources of many organizations and individuals meet the immediate needs of families in crises, and where throughout Fort Bend County, families experiencing homelessness are equipped and empowered to safe, independent living.

​​Ballard House: The Mission of Ballard House is to provide temporary housing in our community with a warm, safe environment for individuals and their families who are hospitalized or receiving treatment for a serious medical condition.

​Periwinkle: The Periwinkle Foundation develops and provides programs that positively change the lives of children, young adults and families who are challenged by cancer and other life-threatening illnesses and are cared for at Texas Children's Hospital.

​​Linda Lorelle: We are dedicated to providing college scholarships, support and guidance to Houston area high school students in need of financial assistance, whose potential may be unfulfilled due to circumstances beyond their control.

​​NextOp Veterans: NextOp recruits, trains, and places high-performing middle-enlisted military leaders into Industry careers. NextOp provides companies with world-class, skilled candidates and coaches them on how to be effective employees. Our mentors work with each transitioning veteran to adjust to their new roles and cultivate the necessary skills to excel in field work, increasing satisfaction and reducing turnover for these positions. We serve those who have served so many—our hardworking veterans.

​Monarch: The Monarch School is dedicated to providing an innovative, therapeutic education for individuals with neurological differences—such as those associated with autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit (hyperactivity) disorder, learning disabilities, Tourette Syndrome, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, traumatic brain injury and seizure disorders. Offering a learner-centered approach that helps students progress in Four Core Goal areas, The Monarch School is a service of the Monarch Institute for Neurological Differences, where we’re transforming lives.
